Virginia called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM
Attendance was taken. Arlene Retzer resigned from the committee as of November 30,
2025. Several items were added to the agenda.
The minutes of the November 10, 2025 meeting were approved.
The budget report indicates we have $1077.59 remaining. This includes $250 that Ron
Kalmes has been authorized to spend on additional outdoor Christmas lights, extension cords, etc. Not included is approximately $400 owed to Cities Best for signs purchased in the fall. Virginia will ask again for Cities Best to send an invoice so payment can be made using 2025 budgeted funds.
Since the last meeting Carolyn gave two tours and Arlene one.
The Reservation List has 108 names.
Under Old Business: Jim Hogan, Mary Melberg and Virginia filled the large front pots
with natural plants for the holidays. Winds have scattered and shredded the
hydrangeas. Nancy Overmoen will gather more hydrangeas later this week. Ella will
spray them with hair spray and put them into the pots, and hopefullly, they won’t be
quite so sensitive to wind destruction.
The Tours by Appointment sign will not go up this month. Jim and Dick will watch the
weather and decide accordingly when it can go out again, perhaps not till March.
previously filled by Arlene. No one spoke up.
For New Business: There was discussion of a good date for take down of the
Christmas decorations. January 5 th just seemed too early. Monday, January 12 th was
the set date at 10 am. Virginia will send a work request to Rob re: large front lobby tree
removal. Carolyn will send a reminder e-mail. We will not need additional help from
other members of the community.

Unit 214 is for sale. Currently it is being painted. It will be shown internally on Friday,
Dec.12 th . Dick will take the 10-12 shift and Ella will be there 2-4. Dick can give the key
directly to Ella, and Ella will return it to Trista or her mailbox. Virginia will supply a tablet
for visitor sign in.
Trista will make and send out a Holiday greeting card to the Reservation List. Jim
showed several great outdoor winter photos he had on his phone. He’ll meet with Trista and send her what she can use. Jim mentioned Gary Borg had a great Aurora Borealis shot we might consider. It was suggested Jim Radford might have something also.
We discussed feedback received from residents concerning the current Christmas
decorations. Ella had two phone calls and several people stopped her in the hall.
Martha had several contacts, Virginia had “lots” of contacts. All of those who
commented were unhappy that there were so few decorations other than the trees. The committee felt that everything is OK as it is.Virginia is sorting and freeing up emptied containers. The labels on them are hard to remove, but there should be better space in the storage spaces closets.
The next meeting is March 9, 2026.
Meeting adjourned at 1:31 PM
